Out-of-control mouse infestation worries residents of Santa Catarina

Assomada, March 30 (Inforpress) – Residents of several locations in the municipality of Santa Catarina today denounced the worsening rat infestation, which is already affecting homes and other areas, generating strong concern and calls for urgent intervention from the competent authorities.

In statements to the press, Adilson Silva warned about the scale of the problem, emphasizing that the rodents are no longer confined to agricultural areas and have begun invading homes.

According to him, despite the frequent use of poisons and other home remedies, the population has not been able to stop the proliferation, especially of large rats.

The same source also highlighted the risks to public health, noting that rats are carriers of diseases and represent a direct threat to families.
