City of Praia, Mar 25 (Inforpress) – The president of the Constitutional Court (TC) of Cabo Verde, José Pina Delgado, has been appointed to lead the working committee responsible for reviewing the statutes of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, the institution announced today in a statement.

The decision resulted from the 23rd meeting of the organization’s Executive Committee, held on Monday, the 23rd, in Venice, Italy, where Pina Delgado also took leadership of the working committee tasked with preparing proposals to amend the statutes of that organization.

The creation of the committee stemmed from a proposal made by the president himself regarding the introduction of criteria for the admission of new linguistic and regional groups to the Bureau, which received broad approval from those present.

The committee, chaired by Pina Delgado, also includes the organization’s secretary-general, the presidents of the Constitutional Courts of Austria and Romania, as well as the secretary-general of the African Conference on Constitutional Justice.
