Praia City, 11 Mar (Inforpress) – The Minister of Justice said today that Cabo Verde aims to establish itself as an international reference in the field of forensic medicine and forensic sciences, with a focus on strengthening the quality of scientific evidence and modernising services.
Joana Rosa was speaking at the opening of the II International Congress of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences and the IX Meeting of the Network of Forensic Medical-Legal Services of Portuguese-Speaking Countries, which are taking place over two days in the city of Praia under the theme “Science that protects”.
On the occasion, she expressed the country’s ambition to transform the National Institute of Forensic Medicine into a reference hub, not only at the national level but also regionally and internationally, with an emphasis on strengthening the quality of scientific evidence and modernising services.
“We aspire to be a country that, despite its limited resources, manages to offer quality responses based on rigour, innovation and cooperation,” she stated.
