São Nicolau: Government aims to achieve 100% coverage of the Unified Social Registry in Ribeira Brava

Ribeira Brava, Mar 02 (Inforpress) – The Minister of State, Family, Inclusion and Social Development stated today that the Government intends to achieve 100 per cent (%) coverage of the Unified Social Registry in the municipality of Ribeira Brava, where the current rate is around 60%.

In statements to Inforpress after a courtesy visit to the mayor of Ribeira Brava, at the beginning of his trip to the island of São Nicolau, Fernando Elísio Freire highlighted that the objective is to assess the social inclusion policies implemented in the municipality and outline new measures.

According to the minister, 725 people currently benefit from the social pension in the municipality, while 138 families receive the social inclusion income.

“Our objective is to reach 100% CSU coverage and we are working towards that. We have several projects with the municipal council within the framework of municipalization that are funded by the Government,” he stated.
