Sal Island: Sal Campeão 2025 Gala to honour 58 nominees from the 2024/2025 sports season

Espargos, Jan 28 (Inforpress) – The City Council of Sal today presented the Sal Campeão 2025 Gala, an event aimed at recognising athletes, coaches, sports officials and personalities who distinguished themselves during the 2024/2025 sports season. The ceremony is scheduled for January 31.

The press conference served to present the main details of what is considered the largest sports merit recognition gala on Sal Island. The event will take place at the Belorizonte Hotel, Pedra de Lume Restaurant, in Santa Maria, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Under the theme “Honouring Champions, Inspiring Generations”, the Sal Campeão 2025 Gala seeks to highlight the effort, dedication and contribution of sports stakeholders to the development of sports in the municipality.

Opening the press conference, Councillor for Sports Euclides Silva explained that this will be the fifth edition of the Sal Campeão Gala, noting that the event was not held last year due to the municipal election context and the delayed start of some sports seasons.
