São Vicente: Viking Explorers Regatta Arrives in Mindelo on Tuesday

Mindelo, Jan 09 (Inforpress) – The Mindelo Marina announced today that the Viking Explorers regatta, comprising 14 yachts and crews from around 10 nationalities, will arrive in São Vicente on Tuesday, the 13th.

According to Viking Explorers, the fleet had been based in the Canary Islands since early December, where crews participated in safety, meteorology and route-planning sessions, as well as social activities, to ensure a high level of preparedness for the Atlantic crossing.

Departure from the Canary Islands was delayed by two days due to adverse weather conditions.

After the stopover in São Vicente, the fleet will continue to the Port Louis Marina in Grenada, in the Caribbean.
