Porto Novo, 18 December (Inforpress) – Several rural communities in the municipality of Porto Novo, on the island of Santo Antão, are benefiting from investments aimed at rehabilitating water supply infrastructure and improving water quality.
A statement from the municipality said rehabilitation works carried out under a partnership between the Red Cross and the Porto Novo Municipal Council are progressing “at a good pace”, with interventions under way in Ribeira da Cruz.
In the coming days, work will begin on restoring water intakes and pipelines in the locality of Jorge Luís, improving system efficiency and ensuring regular access to safe drinking water.
