Cabo Verde to express to FIVB intention to host a Beach Volleyball Challenge event – Minister

Mindelo, Dec 15 (Inforpress) – The Minister of Sport stated this Sunday that Cabo Verde will express to the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) its intention to host, next year, a Challenge category stage of Beach Volleyball in the country.

Carlos Monteiro spoke to Inforpress after presiding over the closing and award ceremony of the international beach volleyball competition “Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures,” held at Laginha Beach.

The Beach Volleyball Challenge category is part of the FIVB Beach Pro Tour world circuit, ranking below the Elite 16, offering ranking points and prize money, and serving as an important stage for teams seeking to advance internationally.

In this category, teams compete in groups during the initial phase, followed by knockout rounds to contest the title.
