Cape Verdean Congress on Inclusive Education Promotes Global Reflection on Inclusion

Praia, Dec 04 (Inforpress) – The third Cape Verdean Congress on Inclusive Education, held today and Friday in Praia under the theme “50 Years of Independence and Inclusive Education: Pathways, Challenges and Future Perspectives,” aims to promote a moment of reflection on the topic.

According to organiser Filomeno Tavares, the event gains special significance as it coincides with the 50th anniversary celebrations of Cabo Verde’s independence, with the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV), as a public institution, serving as one of the promoters of this debate.

The congress brings together researchers, teachers, students, NGOs, education professionals and families to foster scientific debate, advanced training and the sharing of inclusive practices.

Tavares added that the theme enables reflection on the progress achieved and the challenges ahead to ensure equal opportunities for all, regardless of limitations or characteristics.
