Vicenta Fernandes Named Global Ambassador for Peace by the Women’s Federation for World Peace

Praia City, Nov 10 (Inforpress) – The president of the Cabo Verdean Association to Combat GBV, Vicenta Fernandes, has been appointed Global Ambassador for Peace by the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP), in recognition of her dedication to gender equality and the promotion of peace.

According to a press release from the Cabo Verdean Association to Combat Gender-Based Violence (ACLCVBG), the distinction was announced during the 22nd Annual Women’s Leadership Conference of the WFWP, held in Tirana (Albania) at the end of October.

The same source noted that several women were honored for their active contributions to promoting peace, development, and women’s empowerment.

“Cabo Verde was represented by Vicenta Fernandes, whose work has been remarkable both nationally and internationally through partnerships with women leaders from Europe and Africa in favor of peace, gender equality, and women’s capacity building,” the note highlighted.
