Praia, 03 Nov (Inforpress) – Around 120 field agents, including interviewers, supervisors and controllers from Praia and Mindelo, are receiving training from the National Statistics Institute (INE) for the 2025 fourth-quarter Continuous Multi-Purpose Survey (IMC).

Speaking to Inforpress after the training was launched, INE Vice-President Fernando Rocha explained that the initiative seeks to equip these agents in concepts, definitions, methodology and procedures associated with this type of statistical operation, as well as best practices in field data collection.

According to Fernando Rocha, this training will run until the 13th, in the training hubs of Praia, on the island of Santiago, and Mindelo, on the island of São Vicente.

This survey will be based on a national sample of 9,918 households, with the aim of characterising the demographic profile of the population of Cabo Verde and assessing household living conditions, education and the labour market.
