São Nicolau: Mar Liso suffers damage and is rescued near the island of Santa Luzia

Ribeira Brava, October 30 (Inforpress) – The ship Mar Liso suffered an engine failure this Wednesday during its voyage from São Nicolau to São Vicente, and was rescued near the island of Santa Luzia by a Coast Guard vessel at around 9:00 PM.

According to information gathered by Inforpress, the ship departed from São Nicolau Island for São Vicente at approximately 11:00 AM, but suffered an engine failure.

Inforpress has learned that the occupants were rescued by the Coast Guard vessel Voador, near the island of Santa Luzia, while the vessel will be towed by the tugboat Monte Cara to Porto Grande.

Inforpress has been trying to contact the relevant authorities so far without success.
