Praia, Sep 9 (Inforpress) - The World Bank (WB) today classified Cabo Verde's performance in implementing projects financed by the institution as "above average" compared to other countries, highlighting the archipelago's speed and effectiveness, especially in emergency situations.
The assessment was made in Praia by the executive director for Brazil and a group of Latin American and Caribbean countries, Marcos Chiliatto, after a meeting with the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva.
The meeting took place as part of the first official mission of World Bank executive directors to Cabo Verde, which took place between September 5th and 9th.
"The easiest thing to do is compare it to other countries. Cabo Verde's level and pace of implementation are above the average for other countries. Cabo Verde is a country that has been executing its projects well," said Marcos Chiliatto.
