Preliminary Report on School Performance reveals improvements in the approval rate and reduction in dropout rates

Praia, July 31 (Inforpress) - The Preliminary Report on School Performance Results for the 2024/2025 academic year confirmed a positive trend at a national level, with a reduction in school dropouts and the average pass rate reaching 80.91% in the 12th year.

According to data provided by the Ministry of Education, there was an increase in approval rates and a significant reduction in school dropout rates, a reflection, he emphasized, of the educational reforms implemented, especially in the areas of curriculum development and school social action. 

"The provisional data for the 2024/2025 results demonstrate improvements in approval indicators and a reduction in dropout rates. Overall, the national average indicates positive progression at the end of the educational cycles," the statement reads.

The national average approval rate at the end of educational cycles indicated that in the 12th year, approximately 80.91 percent (%) of students passed, in the 4th year it reached 84.66%, while in the 8th year, 73.54%.
