Lauryn Teixeira honoured in British Parliament as one of the World's 100 Child Prodigies

Praia, Jun 30 (Inforpress) - Cape Verdean Lauryn Teixeira was recognised at the Global Child Prodigy Awards 2025 in the British Parliament as one of the 100 Most Outstanding Child Prodigies in the World, a historic milestone for Cape Verdean children's literature.

According to a note sent to Inforpress by the young author's representative, Cristina Lauryn, the honoree became the first Cape Verdean child to receive the prestigious Global Child Prodigy Awards, at a ceremony held in the British Parliament, in the historic House of Commons.

The event, which took place on 26 June, brought together young talents from different fields, celebrating agents of global change.

Lauryn Teixeira, who lives in London, was recognised for her work as an author, cultural ambassador and defender of diversity and inclusion, highlighting the positive social impact she has promoted.
