Praia, Jun 10 (Inforpress) – Today, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Portugal expressed her “satisfaction” with the country’s progress in terms of resilience and capacity building in terms of renewable energy and self-sufficiency.

Ana Isabel Xavier, who spoke to the press after a visit to the Dispatch Center, in Palmarejo Grande, also stated that she is looking forward to the projects in this area that are currently being developed.

These projects, as he added, are in a pre-regulation phase and, from 2028, they will be implemented, which, it should be noted, is “very important” for Portugal and this reinforces the role that Cabo Verde plays, especially with regard to resilience.

Regarding the Climate and Environmental Fund, he reiterated Portugal's commitment to helping and supporting the Cape Verdean authorities in this sector.
