Uni-CV: University students take part in thematic sessions in celebration of 50 years of ECOWAS

 Praia, 09 Jun (Inforpress) - Students from the University of Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) are taking part in the 3rd International Relations and Diplomacy Week, as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The event, which kicked off today, aims to reflect on the trajectory and challenges of this sub-regional organisation, with the participation of students in the dynamics of integration in West Africa.

Kelly Lopes, the representative of ECOWAS in Cabo Verde, at the opening of the activity, told the press that the initiative gives young people and women a chance to learn more about ECOWAS's activities in Cabo Verde and to find out more about the organisation's work. 

Kelly Lopes pointed out that the organisation has carried out various projects on issues related to energy, humanitarian aid and health.
