Praia, May 28 (Inforpress) - The Cape Verdean Academy of Letters is presenting today in Praia the book ‘A Festa nas Ilhas da Morabeza’, which brings together texts from the VI Macaronesian Poetry Meeting, and Vera Duarte's latest work ‘A Vénus Crioula’.
In an interview with Inforpress, the president of the Cape Verdean Academy of Letters, Daniel Medina, emphasised the symbolic and cultural importance of the collective work.
‘The aim is very simple, to launch the book that served as the basis for the VI Macaronesian Poetry Meeting, which took place at the end of 2023, brought together more than 40 poets and had an extraordinary impact,’ he explained.
Daniel Medina emphasised that the event will address issues such as human rights, immigration, inclusion and the creation of the future Association of Macaronesian Poets.
