Praia hosts ‘Meeting of people from Maio staff ’ on Saturday

Porto Inglês, May 28 (Inforpress) - The city of Praia will host the first edition of the ‘Meeting of people from Maio Executives’ on Saturday 31, with the aim of bringing together staff from the island of Maio who live in the capital to reflect on the island's development.

According to the president of the Maiense Independent Movement (MIM), Nelson Ramos, the initiative aims to contribute to the sustainable development of the island of Maio, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience between participants, with a view to strengthening communities.

"There is a disconnect between professional staff who, when they leave the island of Maio, end up moving away and no longer return to make their contribution as citizens. We want to strengthen ties between the staff and bring them back to the island," he explained, justifying the choice of the city of Praia because it concentrates the majority of these professionals.

The event, according to the same source, is aimed at executives, university students, businesspeople and community leaders from the island, who together will be able to analyse the kind of contribution their respective professional areas can make to the development of Maio.
