Praia, Apr 7 (Inforpress) - The Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Elísio Freire, today reinforced the government's commitment to eradicating extreme poverty and reducing absolute poverty.
The minister was speaking during the launch ceremony of the second edition of Bootcamp Impactar, an initiative that aims to boost social entrepreneurship as a strategy for inclusion.
‘The government has a great ambition, or rather, the Cape Verdean people have a great ambition, which is to eliminate extreme poverty and reduce absolute poverty, making this a national maturity,’ said the minister, emphasising that inclusive public policies are the way to achieve this goal.
Freire emphasised that initiatives like the Impactar Bootcamp create ‘a favourable environment’ for the ‘emergence of sustainable solutions’ with a ‘real impact’ on communities.
