Government reinforces support for culture by signing contracts for 50 schools and associations

Praia, Apr 2 (Inforpress) - Today, the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries reinforced its support for culture by signing funding contracts in Praia for 50 schools, associations and NGOs benefiting from the Bolsa de Acesso à Cultura (Cultural Access Grant programme).

A total of 50 institutions have benefited, 49 in the municipality of Praia and one in Ribeira Grande de Santiago, covering 1,808 scholarship students, of whom 936 are female and 872 male.

The Bolsa de Acesso à Cultura programme has been relaunched with a new application phase between December 2024 and 31 January 2025.

In this edition, 124 schools, associations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from 20 municipalities were selected, with the exception of São Salvador do Mundo (Santiago) and Ribeira Brava (São Nicolau).
