Praia, 1 October (Inforpress) – Prosperous Vodka, the first vodka produced in Cabo Verde, has won the Gold Medal at the 2026 edition of the international competition ‘The Luxury Masters’, the brand revealed today in a press release.

According to the press release, the Cape Verdean drink passed a rigorous blind tasting assessment carried out by a panel comprising specialist journalists, buyers and international bartenders.

Produced in Praia by Kriol Distillery, this premium brand combines high-quality wheat with water from Trindade, using a copper distillation and filtration process to ensure a “smooth, impurity-free profile”.

“This Gold Medal provides international recognition of our attention to detail and proves that Cabo Verde is capable of producing spirits on a par with the very best in the world,” said the project leader, emphasising their pride in representing the country on the global spirits scene.
