Praia, 29 Sept (Inforpress) – The Education Museum, beyond preserving historical objects, seeks to transform the memory of education in Cabo Verde into a learning tool for new generations, through visits, educational activities and initiatives aimed at pupils, teachers, families and students.

Established in 2009 by former education inspector Clara Marques, the museum, housed in the historic Escola Grande in the city of Praia, welcomes a wide range of visitors and seeks to connect the past with the current educational reality.

““It’s a dynamic museum because we do so many other things,” said Clara Marques today, adding that the venue welcomes schoolchildren, teachers, university students, tourists, groups and families interested in the history of education in Cabo Verde.

One of the museum’s defining features, she told Inforpress, is its interactive approach, allowing visitors—particularly children—not only to view the exhibits but also to engage with the space and explore what education was like in earlier times.
