Ferro Gaita represents Cabo Verde at MIMO Festival 2026 in Brazil

Praia, 15 September (Inforpress) – The group Ferro e Gaita will represent Cabo Verde at the 9th edition of the MIMO Festival, which takes place from 25 to 27 September in the city of Olinda, in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, alongside Brazilian and international artists.

According to a statement from the organization, Ferro e Gaita will perform on September 26, as part of a lineup that also includes names such as Alice Caymmi, Tinariwen, DJ Reborn, João Gaspar, César Michiles, and Romero Medeiros.

Featuring over 40 free activities, the 2026 edition of MIMO Festival brings together concerts, performances, DJ sets, cinema, workshops, masterclasses, meet-ups, and activities rooted in popular culture, taking place in churches, public squares, streets, and cultural venues across the Historic Site of Olinda.

Founded in Olinda in 2004, the MIMO Festival has now held 66 editions in 16 cities across Brazil and Europe, attracting, over the course of its history, an estimated audience of 2.1 million people.
