
Praia, Sept. 2 (Inforpress) – The film “A Última Colheita,” by Cape Verdean director Nuno Boaventura Miranda, is part of the lineup for the International Fiction Competition at the 2026 Luanda International Film Festival, which runs from October 28 to November 2.
According to a press release, the event, which will take place in the Angolan capital, is a highlight for the national film industry and strengthens the cultural and cinematic ties between the two countries.
Produced between Cabo Verde and Portugal, Nuno Boaventura Miranda’s film follows three characters from the Cape Verdean community in Lisbon in a narrative marked by themes of memory, identity, and belonging.
According to the same source, the inclusion of “A Última Colheita” in the international selection of FIC Luanda 2026 brings Cabo Verde into a cinematic gathering of diverse backgrounds, geographies, and cultural affinities.
