São Filipe: The redevelopment of the Salinas fishing and bathing area will cost around 130,000 contos – local authority

São Filipe, 31 August (Inforpress) –City Council of São Filipe has now signed the contract for the redevelopment of the fishing and bathing area at Salinas, on São Jorge, representing an investment of around 130,000 contos.

The contract, funded by the Social Sustainability Fund for Tourism (FSST), the Operational Programme for Tourism (POT) and the municipal budget, was awarded to the consortium comprising the companies Elevolution Engenharia, SA – Cabo Verde Branch, and Elevo Engenharia Cabo Verde, a sole proprietorship.

The contract covers two separate projects, organised into two lots, according to Euclides Fernandes, the councillor responsible for infrastructure.

The first, with a completion period of ten months, involves the regeneration of the Salinas fishing and bathing area, including the construction of a new boat slipway.
