Porto Novo: MpD local councillors warn of the water crisis in Lagoa do Planalto Leste

Porto Novo, August 26 (Inforpress) – The MpD opposition group in the Porto Novo Municipal Assembly today warned of a water crisis for consumption and livestock in Lagoa do Planalto Leste and asked the council to assist the population.

In a statement, the municipal deputies of the Movement for Democracy (MpD) expressed their solidarity with the families in Lagoa do Planalto Leste, urging Porto Novo City Council to do “whatever is necessary” to assist the population facing a shortage of drinking water.

MpD local councillors also draw attention to the state of sanitation in this upper district, calling for rubbish to be collected more regularly.

On Tuesday, the Lagoa do Planalto Leste community highlighted the water shortage affecting the local population, calling for “urgent attention from the relevant authorities”.
