Praia: The Achada Grande Frente Group organises a Bazar Solidário”, to complete the Student House

Praia, 26 August (Inforpress) – The Secondary and Primary Schools Group of Achada Grande Frente (ESAG), in Praia, opened its doors today to a “Bazar Solidário” (Solidarity Bazaar), with the aim of raising funds to complete the construction of the Student Centre.

According to Sandra Querido, director of Group VIII, the initiative was carried out in partnership with Luís dos Anjos, a resident of the Azores (Portugal), who organised the donation of various items, such as clothing, footwear, toys and books.

Currently in the roofing phase, inside the José António Monteiro Basic School, the Student House aims to provide guidance, supervised study, and a safe space for students after school hours, preventing them from being vulnerable on the streets.

In addition to funding infrastructure, according to Sandra Querido, the funds raised are intended for the purchase of uniforms, textbooks, and school supplies for the most disadvantaged students.
