Mosteiros: 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of mortal assault with a bladed weapon on a 35-year-old man

São Filipe, August 21 (Inforpress) – A 40-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night, August 20, by the National Police on suspicion of fatally assaulting Silas Andrade, 35, known as Broca, with a bladed weapon.

The incident occurred around 6:00 PM on Thursday in the village of Queimada Guincho, in the municipality of Mosteiros, when, according to information gathered from witnesses, the suspect allegedly encountered the victim and stabbed him with a knife, without any prior altercation having taken place between the two at the time of the attack.

An eyewitness told Radio Cabo Verde that the alleged assailant found Silas Andrade and attacked him with a bladed weapon without any prior discussion at the time of the attack.
