Project “Mudjer sem Limiti” empowers 50 women with disabilities for autonomy and inclusion

Praia, August 18 (Inforpress) - Apimud launched today in Praia the project "Mudjer sem Limiti" [Woman without Limits] to empower 50 women with disabilities in life skills, entrepreneurship, digital inclusion and autonomy, over 17 months.

The initiative by the Cape Verdean Association for the Promotion and Inclusion of Women with Disabilities (Apimud), funded by the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), aims to create conditions for participants to develop skills and strengthen or create their own businesses.

The project coordinator and psychologist, Rosana Carvalho, explained to the press that the 50 beneficiaries will be divided between the municipalities of Praia and Santa Cruz, with 25 women receiving training in each location.

The training program includes life skills, focusing on leadership, self-esteem, and self-awareness, followed by entrepreneurship training and, in a third phase, digital inclusion.
