Espargos, June 10 (Inforpress) – The company Águas de Ponta Preta (APP) is developing a pilot project on the island of Sal focused on the remineralization of desalinated water by reverse osmosis, through a strategic partnership with the Senegalese company Hérium.
The initiative, which marks an important industrial cooperation within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), aims to correct water parameters, improving its chemical properties and organoleptic characteristics, particularly its taste.
Speaking to the press, APP’s director, Damian Pujol, stated that the first container of liquid carbon dioxide (CO2), along with the equipment required for the process, is already on the company’s premises. Pujol described the initial tests as “satisfactory”.
According to the official, the idea of turning to Hérium arose after unsuccessful attempts to contact other larger companies in the sector.
