Cabo Verde is leading the way towards global solutions, says the Secretary-General of the OIF

Praia, 28 May (Inforpress) – Louise Mushikiwabo,the Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), highlighted today in Praia the role of Cabo Verde as a model for reflection and the search for solutions to global challenges, following a meeting with the President of the Republic.

Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, Louise Mushikiwabo said that the discussion had focused above all on ‘the future of humanity’, the need to strengthen the values of coexistence among peoples, and the quest for ‘greater humanity in political, economic and social life’.

According to the OIF representative, Cabo Verde “leads the way” by offering important contributions and insights, despite being “a small island nation with modest resources”.

The Secretary-General of the OIF, who is attending the International Conference on Atlantic Creolity in Praia, made these remarks on the sidelines of her meeting with the Head of State, José Maria Neves.
