Portugal: Carlos Santos, Kevin Pina and Gilson Benchimol join the Tubarões Azuis for a friendly against Serbia

Praia, 27 May (Inforpress) – Goalkeeper Carlos Santos, midfielder Kevin Pina and striker Gilson Benchimol joined the Cape Verdean national football team’s training camp in Portugal on Tuesday, ahead of the warm-up matches for the 2026 World Cup.

According to information provided to Inforpress today by the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF), the three players were the “new additions” to the squad at the second training session held on Portuguese soil.

According to the announcement, Tuesday’s training session was part of the team’s preparations for Sunday’s friendly against Serbia at the Estádio do Restelo in Lisbon.

Coach Bubista and his technical team counted on players such as Vozinha, Márcio Rosa, Carlos Santos, Roberto Lopes “Pico”, Diney, Sidny Cabral, Jamiro Monteiro, Laros Duarte, Telmo Arcanjo, Kevin Pina, Jovane Cabral, Nuno da Costa, Ryan Mendes and Gilson Benchimol.
