AFCON2027: Bubista says group is balanced and assures national team is prepared to fight for qualification

Mindelo, May 20 (Inforpress) – Group K of the AFCON2027 qualifiers, which includes the national team alongside Mali, Rwanda and Liberia, is balanced, but Cabo Verde’s focus is qualification, the national coach said today.

Reacting to the draw for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, Bubista acknowledged the current level of difficulty in African competitions, stressing that no qualification campaign is easy on the continent.

“Nowadays, any qualification campaign in Africa is extremely difficult. But we are working to prepare ourselves in the best possible way. We are already accustomed to competing in major tournaments,” he stated.
