Praia, Jul 20 (Inforpress) – The president of the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Cabo Verde (EHTCV), Sérgio Sequeira, said the great institution challenge is to continue working for excellence in education with a focus on valuing Cabo Verdean gastronomy.
He made these statements on Monday in an interview with Inforpress on the 10th anniversary of the EHTCV, which is celebrated today, stressing that the assessment “is positive” and the institution has been able to fulfil its mission well, especially with regard to strengthening the partnership with the private sector.
“There have been many achievements and challenges, another bet won by the Government and Luxembourg Cooperation to bet on this school of excellence for the tourism sector and in 10 years about 5.500 young people have been formed. The feedback has been very good on the part of the private sector, which recognizes vocational training and School of Hospitality as the reference school”, he said.
Taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic context, the EHTCV operation with regard to training courses was conditioned, according to Sérgio Sequeira, who pointing out the implementation of new training models to meet the needs of the private sector, valorization of gastronomy, distance learning and the internationalization of ETHCV as challenges will have to be overcome.
