EHTCV wants “better prepared” tourist guides to convey the history of Cabo Verdean culture

Praia, Dec 1 (Inforpress) – The Cabo Verde School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHTCV) provides tour guides with the opportunity to “get to know the history and identity” of the Cabo Verdean people so that to be “better prepared” to transmit it.

The statement is made by EHTCV administrator, Fernando Cruz, who spoke to the press Monday at the opening of the first day of Cabo Verdean cultural tourism resources, which runs until Thursday, December 3, in celebration of National Morna Day.

Within the scope of the training course to reinforce tourism guide training, under the guidance of the Cabo Verdean History and Culture trainer, Gil Moreira, the trainees are undertaking a series of activities such as exhibitions of Cabo Verdean cultural and ethnographic tourism resources, presentation of a work of cultural investigation, exhibition of research work and staging a play to capture the spirit.

With these activities, according to this official, they are giving the opportunity for the trainees to get to know their own culture better.
