Education: University of Santiago creates project to provide schools with technological products

Assomada, May 7 (Inforpress) – The University of Santiago (US) in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (IPS) from Portugal has in progress the implementation of the Digital Innovation CV” project, which aims to provide four schools in the Santiago Island with technological products.

To the press, the director of the US Academic Services, Luís Rodrigues, explained that in this pilot phase the project will be implemented in four school groups in the Santiago Island, the Grão-Duque Henri Technical School  and Amílcar Cabral High School (Santa Catarina), Tarrafal High School (Tarrafal) and Achada Grande High School (Praia).

The project, according to the same source, was born in the context of the Master in Pedagogy also taught by the two higher education institutions, where they found that the groups in Cabo Verde still have a deficit in terms of both technological products and the training for their teachers.

That is why, according to him, the idea of creating this pilot project was born, which consists of trying to provide the Cape Verde school grouping and their respective teachers with technological products and other technological skills.
