Praia, Aug 12 (Inforpress) – The national director of Education, Adriano Moreno, acknowledged today that there were some cases of alleged situations of rape and sexual abuse in schools in the school year ended, stating that the Ministry has given zero tolerance to this issue.

“Any violation of human rights worries us, the school has to be guardian of these rights, we eventually had one or another situation of alleged rape and sexual abuse inside or outside the school, but we have had zero tolerance on this issue,” said Adriano Moreno.

According to the director, any complaint made in this sense, the Ministry of Education will act with a hard hand, so that the school is really the protector of children’s rights.

“We cannot align ourselves in any way with any attempt to violate children’s rights, this for us has had zero tolerance,” he said.
