Praia, Mar 08 (Inforpress) – The National Directorate of State Revenue (DNRE) released the preliminary draft of the ordinance of digital stamps for beverages and tobacco at Customs, aiming at greater control over the quality of goods and preventing tax fraud.
Speaking to journalists, the National Director of State Revenue, Lisa Vaz, said that the purpose of the meeting was to disseminate the diploma to partners and economic operators to streamline the administrative process regarding the sealing process, with the previous proposal being 1960.
“What we are proposing here is to review this procedure and transform this stamp on paper into a digital stamp that will be tracked through a traceability platform”, said the director, who said that the idea is to listen to economic operators and obtain contributions for improving the diploma if necessary.
Developed in close collaboration with Imprensa Nacional de Cabo Verde and Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda de Portugal, he added that the project will bring “modernity and greater control” with the use of information technology instruments and be sure about the quality of the merchandise.
