Praia, May 27 (Inforpress) – The National Directorate for the Environment (DNA) promoted a fair on biodiversity on Saturday in Pedonal street, City of Praia, to bring the population more information about Cabo Verdean food and health related to biodiversity.
In a statement to Inforpress, DNA Nature Conservation Service director Sónia Araújo said that the event is part of the activities commemorating International Day for Biological Diversity, celebrated on May 22, under the theme “Our biodiversity, our food, our health”.
The date is intended to celebrate and convey the population about the need for biodiversity conservation.
This year’s theme, according to Sónia Araújo, aims to show that health is based on food, and this food on biological diversity”, must and deserves to be conserved for everyone to have good health”.
