Director of the National Social Security Institute of Guinea-Bissau considers Cape Verde to be on the “right track” in data management and protection

Praia, April 25 (Inforpress) – The Director-General of the National Social Security Institute of Guinea-Bissau, Bamaba Kote, said today that Cape Verde is on the “right track” in data management and protection of social security, considering strengthening the partnership between the two countries.

In a statement to journalists during a visit to the facilities of the Operational Nucleus of the Information Society (NOSi) this morning, the Director-General stated that the reason for this meeting is to continue the second phase of the operationalization of the institute’s IT systems, an initiative started 10 years ago.

“That is why we are here to negotiate with Cape Verde, NOSi can accompany us to fully computerize the system in Guinea-Bissau and replicate what Cape Verde is doing,” he reiterated.

Bamaba Kote, who is in the country accompanied by a delegation on a work mission until the 28th, stated that in addition to NOSi, he intends to learn about the functioning of the National Social Security Institute (INPS) and how the process of computerizing the management system in Guinea-Bissau, developed by NOSi, is progressing.
