Praia, Jan 6 (Inforpress) – Luís Filipe Tavares considers that 2020 was a year of “great challenges” for the country, in which all diplomatic action was centered on the mobilization of resources in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and other “important dossiers”.
“In addition to COVID-19, we had other important dossiers, such as mobility with the European Union, which has already been signed between the parties and must follow the normal procedures”, said the head of Cabo Verdean diplomacy, stressing that this is an “important agreement” for the country.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities pointed to the consensual mobility project within the framework of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries, under the rotating presidency of Cabo Verde, as a “great gain” of Cabo Verdean diplomacy.
“Cabo Verde has promised to deliver a proposal [for mobility at CPLP level] within the member states and we have achieved this”, the minister welcomed, recalling that the document will be presented at the Luanda Summit, to be held in July this year.
