Praia, May 27 (Inforpress) – Portugal will support Cabo Verde in the creation of an Air Military Authority in the maintenance of marine and air resources and also in the development and consolidation of a military programming law.
This availability was expressed in the city of Praia by the Minister of Defense of Portugal, Maria Helena Chaves Carreiras, in response to requests made during a bilateral meeting with her Cabo Verdean counterpart, Janine Lélis, which resulted in the signing of an agreement of collaboration and exchange between the National Directorates of Defense of the two countries.
A meeting that served for the two leaders to revisit and talk about various issues which are part of the continuous institutional cooperation in the area of defense between Portugal and Cabo Verde.
“We had the opportunity to talk about the possibility of Portugal to help Cabo Verde to create a structure to support our marine equipment and especially for the issue of maintenance, obviously talking about the regular maintenance. And also, we talk about the possibility of Portugal supporting us in the creation of the air military authority,” said Minister Janine Lélis.
