Praia, Aug 1 (Inforpress) – The Deputy Prime Minister, Olavo Correia, said today in the City of Praia that the State will fulfill its obligations “smoothly” in relation to the alleged debt to the concessionaire of maritime transport, CV Interilhas.
“The amount is not confirmed. It is much lower than this amount (EUR 9.5 million), but the question here is not a question to be discussed in the media. There are accounts which have been presented, the accounts should be checked and audited,” he said.
The also Minister of Finance and Business Development and Minister of Digital Economy spoke to the press, on the sidelines of a workshop to validate the draft guide on the Judgment of Accounts of Public Accountants, which runs until Friday, in the City of Praia.
According to this Minister, the executive will pay after audits and inspections, however he clarified that it is not just a matter of complaining to receive. “There is a legal framework, there is a contract in which accounts must be validated and certified by international and reputed entities and after this verification and validation the State will comply with its obligations smoothly and in accordance with the law”, he stated.
