Praia, Jun 15 (Inforpress) – The president of the Red Cross of Cabo Verde (CVCV), Arlindo Soares de Carvalho, today defended the strengthening of social policies aimed at promoting and ensuring the inclusion and protection of the elderly population in the country.
Speaking to Inforpress, regarding the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which is marked today, June 15, Arlindo de Carvalho highlighted the importance of care and protection for the old, especially in the current context affected by the pandemic.
For this responsible, the elderly constitute a very particular target audience of the Cabo Verdean society that deserves to be valued because they contributed in the construction and development of Cabo Verde.
