CVB/Five Years: Analog to Digital transition places Country on the most important levels in Africa and worldwide – President

Mindelo, Apr 14 (Inforpress) – The president of the board of directors of Cabo Verde Broadcast (CVB) classified the transition from analog to digital television as one of the “great gains” of the company in five years, placing the country on “important levels” in Africa and worldwide.

In an interview with Inforpress, three days after CVB completed five years of existence, Luís Ramos congratulated himself on the path taken until today, “five years of climbing and descending mountains, of sun and dust, of great sacrifice and dedication,” as he said, only possible, summed up, with an engaged team.

CVB is the company responsible for the implementation and management of Digital Terrestrial Television in Cabo Verde and has as its “highest ambition” to make digital television a universal service in Cabo Verde, that is, to bring information and television signals to every corner of the archipelago.

Today, according to the same source, Cabo Verde is among the most advanced countries in the transition process throughout the African continent, and is the second country in the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) to switch off analog TV and transition to digital.
