Culture: Pianist Tututa Évora to be honored in Lisbon

Praia, Jan 31 (Inforpress) – The composer and pianist Tututa Évora will be honored on February 16 in Lisbon with the launch of a book on her work titled “Tututa Composições” by the Cabo Verdean Society of Authors (SOCA).

The information was advanced by SOCA President Dany Spinola at a press conference, stating that the presentation of this special work, at the headquarters of the Cabo Verde High School Former Students Association in Carnide (Portugal), is part of the allusive activities to the 14th anniversary of this institution.

“It is a special work that will be a tribute to our great composer Tututa Évora, and also interpreter, masterful, in terms of piano”, said Spinola, adding that the work counts on “the compositions by Tutuca accompanied by guidelines and biography of this pianist”.

Dany Spinola said that the book deserves to come to the public to make known “this great interpreter and composer of Cabo Verdean music”.
