COVID-19: Twenty-five people died between April 1 and 19 – National Director of Health

Praia, Apr 20 (Inforpress) -The national director of health considered Monday the current pandemic situation is not “favorable”, indicating the country recorded from April 1 to 19 25 deaths and the transmission rate (RT) is 1.19.

Jorge Noel Barreto, who was speaking this afternoon at the usual press conference of the Ministry of Health take stock of the pandemic in the country, explained the cumulative incidence rate and positivity rate have increased in the last 14 days.

According to the national director, from April 1 to 19, 25 people died by COVID-19, while in March 21 deaths were recorded, a situation, in the opinion of the responsible, is not favorable.

“From April 4 to 19, a total of 15.340 samples were analyzed, an average of 1.096 per day, which resulted in a total of 2.676 new cases, an average of 191 per day, representing a positivity rate of 17%,” he revealed.
