COVID-19: Technology grows five years in three months of the pandemic – President of Smart City

Praia, Oct 29 (Inforpress) – The president of the Smart City Foundation, Loide Monteiro, said the technology has grown five years in three months of the COVID-19 pandemic, so she argues that it can be a solution to the problems caused by disease.

Loide Monteiro was speaking this Wednesday on the sidelines of the virtual forum “Thinking Cities and Smarts Communities in Cabo Verde”, held this Wednesday in Praia, as part of the “Urban October” activities, to celebrate World Cities Day, celebrated in October 31.

“Technology has grown five years in three months of COVID-19, this means that technology can be a solution to help resilience the problems the pandemic has brought to the city, and this is what we are going to bring to the public debate, listen citizens to learn about their opinions in this regard,” said the official.

Loide Monteiro also said that given this growth, new challenges have arisen, so “we have to accelerate so as not to be left behind, as many people still do not have access to the Internet”, she stressed.
