COVID-19 / Santo Antão: Multidisciplinary team ensures sanitary control at the Porto Novo port 

Porto Novo, May 13 (Inforpress) – A multidisciplinary team, made up of health and civil protection technicians, has ensured the operations related to sanitary control at the Porto Novo port, Santo Antão, which have been taking place “within normality limits”, according to health authorities.

The Porto Novo health delegate, Isaulina Delgado, who has coordinated the execution of the plan, informed that the operations consist of measuring the passengers body temperature by the health technicians and disinfecting the vehicles to be transported to São Vicente Island, a task that is under the responsibility of the volunteer firefighters.

More than half a thousand people traveled to São Vicente in the first two days of the maritime connections resumption for the transport of passengers, a period in which more than a hundred vehicles were also transported to that neighboring island.

The operations, carried out jointly between the Health Department and the Porto Novo Voluntary Fire Brigade, have been taking place “within normality limits”, with passengers following all the standards required by health authorities, said Isaulina Delgado.
